I’m pleased to share that Chernobyl Series is once again being shown in Oslo. This time, the work The Hope will be part of the Christmas exhibition at Galleri A, opening Thursday, December 18th, 18:00–20:00. The exhibition runs until January 18th, 2026.
A project about time, nature, and quiet spaces
Chernobyl Series was born from a desire to explore what happens to a place when human presence disappears and nature slowly reclaims what was left behind. The landscape around Chernobyl is both devastated and alive, carrying a quiet force that is impossible to overlook. Among trees growing through floors, buildings dissolving into dust, and streets returning to forest, there is a reminder of the steady passage of time — but also of nature’s ability to repair, reshape, and continue.
The project isn’t only about decay. It’s about what emerges in the intervals: in the silence, in the light falling through shattered windows, in the subtle return of life in unexpected ways.
Why The Hope?
The Hope is one of the works where this meeting between destruction and renewal is at its clearest. It carries a sense of something new — a quiet optimism that can only arise when the familiar has fallen away. It points forward, toward the possibility of renewal, even in places where history feels heavy.

Welcome to Galleri A
Showing The Hope in Oslo now, during a time of year that naturally invites reflection, feels fitting. I hope the exhibition offers a moment to pause amid the season’s pace — and perhaps a chance to experience the stillness that defines this project.
