Chernobyl Series at Galleri A – Epic Opening Night

After sharing the news about The Hope returning to Oslo, I wanted to follow up with a few words from what turned into a truly epic opening night at Galleri A’s Christmas exhibition.

The gallery was packed and the energy was high — the kind of evening where the room really comes alive.

Seeing The Hope and Left Behind from Chernobyl Series on the walls alongside Per Heimly and a strong group of other artists made the night feel especially powerful and inspiring.

Both works explore what’s left behind when people disappear — time, traces, and nature slowly reclaiming space. Experiencing the audience’s response in such an intense and lively setting reminded me why this project continues to matter so deeply to me.

A huge thank you to Galleri A, and especially Andreas, for the invitation, the trust, and for creating such a vibrant space for art and people to meet.
